Welcome to Zagreb, the capital city of the Republic of Croatia.
Zagreb is an old Central European city. For centuries it has been a focal point of culture and science, and now of commerce and industry as well. It lies on the intersection of important routes between the Adriatic coast and Central Europe... (more...)

Arrival... and about Zagreb
The official venue of arrival and departure of the teams playing in Zagreb, coordinators, officials, referees, etc. is Zagreb. The airport of arrival and departure is Zagreb International Airport, locally called Pleso and it is situated 15 km away from the City center. Croatian National Airline is called Croatia Airlines. In case you require a visa to enter Croatia, visit the pages of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Perhaps some of you prefer to travel by railways or maybe by bus; it is comforting to know that both stations are situated close to the city centre, just 5 - 10 minutes walk from the main square. Main public means of transport in Zagreb are trams and buses, but if you are in hurry, taxis will do just fine. If you cannot see one available, ring their service agency (970) and you will be at your destination in no time.
